unfortunately my old computer crashed with the pics of them but my lfs when i turned these jd's in was even like "holy sh*t those are the biggest jd's i have seen in my 40 years of fish keeping" the fish itself was about 9-10" but with tail included they were both right at the 12" mark..
back on topic most people's suggestions like the pointed fins and the spangles on the gill plates are true for the most part but are not 100%.. i would say if they look completely different they are most likely opposite sex.. but to be 100% you need to vent them or see them mate imho
