I agree, male. Does it have a sunken stomach? It looks so thin to me.

Thanks everyone. Im realy happy with him. The only thing is i havent been able to get him to eat anything. He is not skiddish and looks like he is begging for food. But when i add food he acts like he doesnt see it. Iv tried new life spectrum, nutrafin bug bites and frozen blood worms. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Definitely male but under weight. Most jds tend to be pigs it likely just needs more time to settle in. My large male was particularly fond of earth worms and river shrimp. Just be sure the live food is gut loaded with a high quality feed. Personally I liked to use tetra prima for ease.

Have you seen him poop? If so, is it white or brown? If white, he has parasites which will need to be eliminated.
If brown, I would just try adding some fresh crushed garlic to the water at feeding time, this will stimulate appetite.
