New Jags only eat live food!

I also just got my first Jag, but the mix with Texas cichlids is a no no from what I've read.
They just don't tolerate tank mates. Rallysman has much experience with Jags, maybe he can tell you more.

Well I let them sit on it for a day with no food, and they ate pellets like crazy, so I think I may have had them a bit spoiled! LOL
Anyhow, I did someting real crazy. I put most of the fish from my 75G into the 200G. I put in the Jags first. My O's are about 7-8 inchces, and the Jags are 2.5-3 inches. The O's didnt bother them at all, so I dumped in the 2.5 inch and 2 inch Texas the next day. The O's didnt bother them. I did add a bunch of hiding spots, but the Texas's stay out in the open near the O's most of the time. The Jags are a bit more bashfull though. It is just crazy how the are all getting along!
