because once you have a pair, you cannot add any other fish bro.
Anything that enters the tank will be shredded.

jags are awesome fish and i would love a pair but this is the exact reason i havnt gotten them, i just dont have an extra tank that i can keep for just one pair of fish (though maybe if find good deal on craigslist.......)

Everything superleggera said is true. I have a 10" Jag and he is very particular. No live plants, No sand, just a few fake plants for color and cover and a big log in the center that he rests in. I also give him raw chicken liver a few times a month. He loves it and it's cheap. He also eats fiddler crabs and crayfish. Good Luck!
