Well, I failed, lol. Walked into the store and walked out with a 6" African Knife, a Centipede and a Glass Knife. The African isn't in the best condition, but neither was the 4" African, but he is doing amazingly well now. Just hope that the same things happens with this African. 3 Knives, one day, lol.:nilly:

i haven't seen those together or i would have done the same thing....still can get the ck...i always have the problem were i bring exactly the amount of money i need to get the fish that i want....then i can't get some others that i see...ex. one day i went to get ghost shrimp came home with a spotted rapheal cat and 2 gouramis and no shrimp:screwy:

lol
The only issue that I guess that I would have is the size that the CK would eventually get to...

that just means you will have a bigger knife tank:naughty:......i will in the future be getting a rck to go with my ck and i have seen some clear cks at a lfs by me that have got me thinking...

lol, a bigger tank would be nice. Just the issue of finding a cheap one... around here a 150-Gallon or 180-Gallon ranges from $200-$1000, and that is from what I have seen.
Looking forward in seeing what you get in the future.:)

i got a 180gal now it was $500 w/stand off craigslist, + filtration so ya about $1000 give or take....i will be getting or building a tank....if i get a tank i will do the prebuilt fiberglass with a built in window, i think it is like 96"x48"x30" or so...if i build it it will be 10'x6'x2.5'...just need to decide and find some cash....i had my clown in the 180 but took it out cause it got on the menu, the i experimented with 6" balas that i had to see if my knife would/could go back now that it has a few more "s but got this for a result:irked:....looks like the knife will have to wait....

Better safe than sorry. :)
Guess I made the same mistake, but the opposite way. Had the Carapo Knife eat my Ven. Pike Cichlid yesterday. :irked: He was picking on the fish in the 60-Gallon, so I thought, "Put him with the Carapo, Goldfish don't even have a mark on them." Dumb idea. Found the Pike the next morning with a torn tail and side fins. He soon died from stress. Still don't get why he hasn't torn apart the goldfish. :nilly:
Lesson learned...

i did the same reasoning that you did, tsns don't/wont eat live 5" suckers so they wont tuch these guys and they are way faster....it is wierd since the cats are 16"+

Sometimes it just doesn't make any sense, lol.:nilly:

More pics of the Carapo. Still an amazing Knife, even though he ate the Pike, lol.
