New L200s so excited!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am really excited by these they were cruising the tank last night out in the open.
When I got my GP and put her in the tank, she was all over the tank. She was sucking up and down and staying out on the glass for the first 2 days. That's when I named her Suki. After that, she disappeared. She remained hidden inside one of my decorator logs for months. I could see her, but she would never come out. For weeks, I was worried that she wasn't eating (because I never saw her). Now, 1 year later, she has a new hiding spot, she she also stays out in the open a lot. She's also one of the first plecos (in my tank) to come out as soon as I feed them.

That is great news. One of mine is hiding some where and I can't see where. The other is up on top of this rock he has been there since yesterday morning. I need to get some more caves for them today.

Lucky bastard:P

I've wanted them for the longest..
Please let us know if you see them munch away at plants, only thing thats holding back a purchase of these.
I get conflicting answers all the time.

Thank you it has been a long time coming. Sorry I don't do live plants so I wont be able to help. plant keeping is not something that has peaked my interested. I have a few fake plants but mostly rock work and driftwood.

From what I have read though they the coating that forms on rocks and woods eating the algae and small crustaceans and bugs so they are omnivores. So they eat vegetation but I don't think they go after plants more like what grows on the leafs of plants but that is just an assumption form what I have read.

Yeah the dorsal fin doesn't connect the the ray next to the tail fin. Either way you got GPs with a nice dorsal.

I never see any of my Plecos by the (few) live plants I have had. It seems that my Loaches and Black Ghosts go for the live plants more than my other fish. My GP just likes to hang out on the artificial wood-like branch I have in the tank... sometimes under it.
