ya u could do 2 del's in the 55 with a salvini but that would be all you could do. or one del an 2 salvini's but make sure they arent a breedin pair.
 
you cant mix lower an upper jaw's from what ive heard but yea you can do 2 del's i got a friend who has a 75 gallon thats goin to be pushin 15-20 bichirs.
 
Dang!! So maybe 1 Del. 2 Salvini's and another type of fish or am I getting overstocked. (read the Salvini only gets to 'bout 6")
 
myself i would stop at that the 1 del an 2 salvini's.
 
I was afraid you were going to say that. If I get lucky and convince of 75Gal. What other fish could I put in there with it out of curiosity? Maybe a Dat or 2?
 
im not sure on dat's just cause ive never kept them. um maybe a jack dempsey?
 
Jack's are pretty. Didn't think about them. And would you say Clown loaches would probably be out? Even given adequate hiding to get away?

Edit --Also what about an Oscar with him?
 
yea could do a oscar but since its a 55 it would be either one cichlid or the other an the bichirs are hunters so they could find the loaches.
