I have no experience with these. But I can certainly see them hunting down small fish, they have the mouth for it.

Great looking fish.

It's actually the first time I ever own this fish. They just came to me last week, and eating like a pig already.

I got 2 . So far growth rate is very slow. 1 is 6" and the other is 8". Mine dun eat small fish cos I keep with alot of smaller tankmate. Love pellet..love to eat alot too. I still think niger grow much faster than it by x2

Yeah Niger catfish grows really fast but will see. I still have to experience this one as it's my first time keeping it. Maybe different region variant eat different food, but I'm not so sure. Mine seems to be more of a hunter than a scavenger.

I have two of these guys. Very interesting cats. Like tanks. Looked in the tank one night and my largest one was cruising the glass like an id shark. it was funny.

Mine always comes out of hiding whenever it feels like it, especially during feeding time.

Mine seems clumsy at swimming. My ripsaw catfish can swim a lot better like a shark.
