New Motoro already just arrived!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah I was expecting a few days to pass before getting him to eat, not a few hours.

I've been reading and I think I may want to stay away from sand, just because of upkeep reasons, I dont want to end up sucking out a ton of sand everytime I clean the tank, might be an unnecessary cost. Still need to figure out what decorations to put in because he is literally in there with nothing at the moment. Need to go to the lake by my house and walk around for some good driftwood.

^Might go with that, not to bad of price but not sure if I really need a startup gravel considering my tank has been set up.

Kinda would like something that would contrast the ray more too.

I think im going to go with caribsea torpedo beach, that will give me that really strong contrast and should have the same feel youve experienced with peace river

60lbs? dont want to cover the whole bottom, want to leave the front bare bottom. you think this will be enough for a standard 125

Also I have a bichir (senegal I think) sitting in my cichlid tank, thought it would be okay to add him to the stingray tank, hes about 6-7 inches right now and the ray is about 5

Yea, the hell with UPS, when i ordered an ornate bichir the guy brought the package to the door as he was rotating it around like it was a damn basketball lol

Anywho, Nice Motoro

Rays will ensure the front of the tank is bare. 60lbs is way overkill IMO. I'd do maybe 20 to start and see where that gets you. I think I only have around 40 in my 8'x3' tank. Torpedo beach is pretty popular too.

^Good to know, for some reason I was thinking there was 25 or so in my 60 but its not deep so it must be less, its just been a long time
