Well, here's the thing... they were not QTd prior to them being shipped.

I asked about QT and sending me videos, and the price would have went from $150 to $500.

I did not think it would be an issue. I had also just added a few unseeded filters to think tank, and I figured it would have helped them out.

But I also added it to 2 other tanks, and yeah.. the same thing happened with them.

What is wrong with Sachem Stability ?

Nothing. When used correctly, it does work. Stability has an expiration date, but even if expired would should not cause a tank to crash

It WAS used correctly. I know how to read and it has precise instructions on the bottle. I am not an idiot. There is for uncycled tank instructions and for cycled. I used it inn uncycled tank and it worked great it just did not work on the cycled tank even after all the fish we're taken out.

Stop assuming. Its still a fairly new product. Have you ever used it Zack? Oh wait that's right you're a perfect fish keeper so there's no need for you to use it.

Have you bought that henlii from my buddy who's horrible at keeping rays yet? What a joke.

Read this:

I've been having a terrible time with ammonia in my tanks.. I have NEVER had this issue before.. The tanks get w/c every other day of 30-40%- ammo lock is added- I have city water, but there is no ammonia present in it, as it's tested before w/c.

The tanks with issues are as follows:

30 gallon: 3 2" Juranese, 1 .5" cory, 2 2" pbass. Using AC110 as filter. Been running for months- 50% water change last night, came down this afternoon, and ammonia is as high as possible. The filter is clean, and there is no un eated food in tank. They get fed every 2-3 days.

90 gallon: Fahaka Puffer 12"- 2 Ac110's- get fed once every 4 days- sand is scooped every other day. Water change of 40% last night. ammonia not as bad, but still present.. has been running with fish for over a year.

125 gallon: Been running for over a year- the inhabitants were: 7 bichirs 12"-5"; 1 jag, 1 midas, 2 common plecos, and 18" RTxTSN.. Filters were 4 ac110's, eheim pro 2, JAD LARGE sponge filter.. this tank has been cycled and running with no issues ever... as soon as I removed the catfish, and the plecos the ammonia went so high that my cichlids got ammonia burn! They got moved to a 180 now with a red terror, and the catfish, and plecos are rehomed.

These have all happened literally over night... The 125 happened about 2 weeks ago- I drained it 90%, and filled it with cycled water from my koi tank, and I just did another water change today...

Note: the only thing that I have changed in my daily routine is adding Seachem Stability... I've heard it's good to you..

I have not used it personally, but recommended it to a friend since this site seems to swear by it. Now, his tank wasn't 125g, it was a 30g w small africans in it. He had no established media what so ever. After following the directions to a "T", his tank has been up and running for about 8 weeks with no ammonia over .25 and that was during the first week.

Exactly Zack... those are the 3 that I added stability to. The other 13 tanks that I have running I did not add stability to, and they are absolutely fine.

What's your point? I had not had any issues with these tanks, but I added stability, and that's when things went south. I had to strip the 125 and start over.

I know how to keep fish.

Stop PMing me. You have been told not to contact me from the moderators, and here you are starting drama.

If everyone reads my post, I did not blame anyone for the ray dying as your PM states. **** happens, it's that simple. Now back off.

No established media = NOT cycled. I said it worked fine for a NON cycled tank.

ALL of the tanks that I added were cycled.

I added it to a 180 that was not cycled, and it worked great.

But it states that it does not hurt to add it to a cycled tank.. apparently it does.

Not flaming you at all. You were adding stability daily to a tank that had been established for a year. The directions clearly do not tell you to do that.

I was not adding it daily. I added it onc to the cycled tanks.
