Took the kiddies fishing today and caught a boat load of perch, bluegill and pumkinseeds. We kept 3 perch, a pumpkinseed and a Warmouth with some wicked pattern on it. They are all in a 55G QT tank atm. The warmouth might get his own tank. I have some left over epoxy that should still be good that I might make into a new 100G tank unless my wife castrates me when I tell her my plans  All the pumpkinseeds we caught had outstanding color on them, I've never seen yellow so bright.

Awesomem fish, I really like them. I wish i could get some natives.

Thx guys! If you look at the warmouth pic you can just see some red on the edges of his dorsal fin. Its faded somewhat from the stress of being moved from a lake to a tank but when we caught him it looked like someone took a red crayon and colored the edges of his dorsal and tail fin. I also noticed some crazy behavior from the Perch which I guess is natural but when we took them out of the bucket with a net they flared out their gill covers to stick the razor sharp gill cover spikes like catfish do with their fins. I found out the hard way about their gill covers when I grabbed one one day to remove the hook

Ya those are beautiful.. Those are natives to Ohio?

Hmm, thats awesome.. Anyway to find out natives in my area?

Thanks, ya I have no idea where to look. Keep me busy.
