The small size is too small for most people with big Central/South americans. Its smaller than hikari mini size, which I used before my dog ate it. (obviously he doesn't care how big the pellets are) So I bought some omega one cichlid pellets which come in a dog-proof can, and I doubt big cichs would eat. It would be like my 5 inch GT trying to eat the tiny tropical fish pellets that are made for neon tetras and such.
So I don't really understand why the would release cichlid pellets in a size that is not optimal for cichlids. (except africans, but who cares about them anyway?)
Hopefully 3.5 oz of food will run out before the GT gets too big.
The sinking bit is great though. The evil giant danios don't fear the GT, and nab any of the floating pellets that he doesn't gobble up quickly.
