Nice pickup! My ornate skyrocketed in growth as soon as I started feeding tilapia and soaking their carnivore pellets in bloodworms. I feed twice a day in small amounts as well. once in the morning and once with the lights dimmed at night. Mine went from around 2" to 9" in the last 4 months. It also has gone from looking male to female so that was a surprise with the growth

I feed smelts or anchovies to my polys, i can get a 1lbs smelts for $1 and a 3lbs anchovies for $2.
I dont feed it often, i just use once or twice a month. Silversides in petco or petsmart are like $12-$14 less than a pound.

Maybe Silversides just sounds fancier, hence the higher price.
