Its a girl. There was eggs scattered all over the tank this afternoon. No change in color yet. Seems happy tho. This tank is being used to grow some baby plants out right now and she seems to be enjoying weaving in and out between them. Snapped a quick pic after a water change.20180929_181437(1).jpg

Leucistic bichir for free? The heck do you keep finding these guys? I'm sure whoever picks up this rare and expensive will be quite happy with him and give him the care he deserves

How much is it worth? Just looks like a snake to me lol. The person who owned this one was trying to unload it on craigslist. One of the guys from our fish club msged him and gave him my info, told him i might have room for it and it'd be well looked after. Those people from the fish club get me into a bunch of trouble lol

Few hundred bucks, real good quality with bright blue eyes and no pigment patches can go upwards of a grand.

She is sooo cute!
If like all the state's weren't between us...... I would get her from you when she recovered, and if I had a tank for her to be in. But ATM she would eat all the fish in my tanks..... So cute tho good luck getting her a great home!

I'm not trying to make money on her. She's had it rough. I just want to see her in a place she can thrive and will never be neglected again.

Fed her some cut up squid this evening. Any foods to avoid for this species? Have had time to read everything I need to right now
