New P/Up ( Load Warning )

Peter try giving him silversides. I find they snatch those up pretty quick when introducing a new cichla the tank. Suprising to hear that the 7-8" guys can hang w/ the 15''.

I have tried silverside, Hikari, Bloodworm and prawn all the other fish go crazy and he just sits back and watches. I will persevere with him though

He'll get there....he'll eventually eat before he starves himself. I know I would.

Well the new guy ate a little bloodworm today so hopefully he is on the turn around

Well its been day 4 for the new addition and he is now eating Hikari and looking so much better , He has even started to fend of the assertiveness by the other Bass and has started to develop the male hump on his head, I will post some updated pics in a week or 2.

It just goes to show what a difference the right environment can make to a fish.

Well guys as promised i have attached some updated pics of the new guy, I can say new guy as you will see why

I have been blown away buy this guys transformation in just 2 weeks, He is still not eating like the other Bass as far as ferocity but he is eating. He eats 2-3 pieces of silverside and a few Hikari sticks each day and each day he becomes more and more accustomed to his new surroundings.

So without further ado here he is

Super fish, and a very nice pick up too.
You are right that his head was a little big for his body but not anymore.
I think he was just under fed and neglected.

Going on past experiences I believe i will have eggs in a day or so, The Female has been busy cleaning her rock and chasing all others away and as you can see the new guy is doing his best to entice her. It has me thinking that he may be the only Male in the tank and the other 6 Monos are all Female. I couls have sworn my big Mono was a male
