New PBass Owner

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They were $35 a piece. Not bad considering none of the LFS's in my area that I spoke to (Vancouver) even knew what cichla were. My guess is there aren't too many cichla setups in the Vancouver area.

The Pikes only chance is if he can hie really well. Unfortunately he's becoming buds with them and bumping up against the biggest mono. The Hujeta's have good size and the can get to 12" so you never know.

I've got a request in for a few large WC orange pikes as tankmates for these guys.

How big are your silver dollars and do the bass leave them alone? I like the red hooks and was thinking 4 would add a nice element to the tank.

hujetas grow REALLY slow.
they will eventually eat him.
pike too.

my SDs are between 2-3 inches.
good thing is that almost as high as they are long.
so a 2 inch SD could only be eaten by a cichla about 6 inches im guessing.
they school with my bass.

I bought 500 feeders that I quarantined and dewormed in 2 50G Buckets. My monos came pretty skinny and I've fattened them up a bit the last week. Here are some updated pics:

The importer had them labeled as tems but mono's ended up as the order. I'm not sure if I can update the title of the thread.

They look great man good job on fattning them up. I am pretty sure you can just leave the title the way it is. It's no biggie. But if you want you can ask a MOD to change the title of the thread there always helpful. As for the Monos man they are going to be very nice lookers in no time. ;)
