There are two visible varietys that I have seen. the white ones, like I have posted up there, with the frosty blue colour and red fins for males, and the darker kind that a lot of you guys seem to have. they have a darker base with a darker blue colour. still the same fish though. and I do believe they are amatliana Siquia.
Not sure how common they are in Canada I moved here from Europe in November but these guys were brought in from another customer and just thrown in the 5 dollar convict tank even though they were clearly an adult pair of HRPs. so until I accidentally found mine I havent seen them available here in Calgary. but that doesnt mean they aren't here.
oh and also, mine are in a 225 cichlid community with mixed african, madagascan and american cichlids, everyone plays well with eachother and the HRP's are no exception. they are also brilliant parents
