I'm pretty sure this is a NHS, don't have any experience with these guys yet.

Thanks. I've read they'll eat all kinds of things. The like going around flipping rocks and eating bugs n things under them. Minnows will follow them around getting what they miss.

did you catch him?

Mine will eat sinking wafers or pellets occasionally, but tend to prefer frozen foods like bloodworms. Even at a small size they can re-arrange a tank in a matter of hours. Very cool to watch them feed in aquaria. They will bury that snout and roots around in the sand and gravel and push objects out of the way.
You can see my 5'' NHS in my tank here.

This is days after I set them up in the tank with just creek sand and rocks. The tank has changed a ton, but you can see them sucking down bloodworms at feeding time.
Suckers require a ton of food to stay healthy. Remember that they will be very hard to feed if there are fast, aggressive feeders around. Suckers will feed very slowly (I call them leisure-feeders), suck down food, then chew for a while. Just a thought.

Hey AOmonsta, good thing the fish can't talk to each other, or they would put a hit out on you, because they don't stand a chance in the "GREAT BASKET!!":ROFL::grinno: Very Nice catch though. You might have to set up a fish collection business!

Haha I hope not. Catch all kinda crazy things, still not even the time of the year to get a lot of fish each time I check it. I am planning to get my commercial fishing license, to legally sell nongame fish. Plan on getting a seine soon too.
