Thanks for the nice comments! Glad to know its a Chinese, its only 2.5'' max and he has a 50 gallon to himself (for now, he will get a turtle pond after the 120 gallon tank 
). One problem though, he bites really hard! It does not draw blood but you can see internal bleeding and it will leave a mark for at least 2.5 hours!

ya the are like snappers lol they will bite at anything in front of their face and can be really aggressive towards anything else in his tank so keep himby himself
A Chinese Softshell and a Vaio laptop? You could be my new best friend 
Their jaws are pretty powerful for crushing snails and crustaceans, but definately a painful bite!
