OK! Still a neat pick up. What size tank is he going in if you keep him until he becomes an adult?

Not sure, if I goes all smooth, It will be in my 270g but I hope I could upgrade to a 360g in next 2 years or something. ;)

they are kind of ugly, but that's part of what makes them unique and desirable...closest you can get to an arapaima that doesn't grow way too big, just wish they had red like gigas, too. Nonetheless, an awesome fish.

I gave up mine as is getting too big 28 inches very jumpy at times, this fish eats non stop sinking pellet whole day and poo so much water gets dirty just because of it.
Hope xander dont have this problem need a good filteration & a big tank to house it.:grinno:

I don't think an 26"-28" African Aro would be dirtier than a 26"-28" AUL. :D
