Too bad about the rainbow and striata. Although it is normal behaviour, unless your lucky and a pair forms snakheads will end up as a solo tank !

Does salt help?

Too bad about the rainbow and striata.

as for treatment no, Salt is not a good choice, For many fish it's a good precautionary measure but not with snakeheads they have a low salt tolerance it will cause more stress/harm than good. Snakeheads are also very sensitive to most medications as well.

Melafix & Pimafix combination is my recommendation. It’s the only medication I’ve used effectively that is safe for snakeheads . Also start the treatment ASAP in my experience once the fuzzy starts on them you have a VERY short window to work with before it rapidly spreads and the channa dies.

if you do turn him around he'll need a new tank, putting him back with the rest is a death sentance.

I will go and check at my lfs about the medication.. Is there really no way they can be put back without killing each other??
Snake heads are tough b**tches:D

His body is all limp and just follows the current from the air bubbling. His gills are still moving but he has no energy to move and is not eating...
