Agreed. Which makes it that much harder to indentify. What makes it harder is the color phase in the pictures given how bright the environment is. Hard to see the dark patterning which would make it arguably easier to identify.
Vin Kutty has a comprehensive idenfication article on google. Type “Crenicichla Saxatilis Care” and sort to find his article. That’s the best way to ID it.
Consider getting a darker substrate. It’ll look more natural and allow the pike to feel a bit more comfortable. They also enjoy caves.
