Really excited to see the sp. dabola color up. Looks like my farannah dabola and Id like to see how its sharp its contrast ends up.

I mean there's been 2-3 times when I knowingly buy a sick fish. I've bought my 10" male and 12" female WC sens as well as a 2.5" teugelsi a while back. They all had bichirs worms. However bichir worms is pretty easy to treat. I usually won't buy a fish that looks deathly ill unless I'm confident I can treat it. Other than that I am really careful about who I order from I've bought from some really good vendors that keep really clean nice looking fish so there was really no need to seperate them into QT (that and I didn't have the tank space for a QT tank for a 23"-24" PBB or 20"+ Nigerian lap).
I heard that bro lol

What toyin told me is that the endlicheri sp. dabola is an endlicheri caught from the tinkisso river in Dabola, and the Sp. Dabola is a lapradei type caught from the same area. The Sp. Dabola pattern wise looks like a perfect mix between endlicheri and lapradei while having a somewhat lap type head shape (however it still looks a little different to me for reasons I still can't quite justify). The Endlicheri maintains endlicheri type patternation as well as an endli head, however it's head shape still seems different to me as well. I think it's flatter, but will have to have a few more nights until I can put all the differences together. I have high hopes for the Sp. Dabola as if it settles in could look very nice, and also think that the endlicheri Sp. Dabola will look very nice as well.

Thank you for clarifying that!! Did scratch my head when I saw Endli sp. Dabola!!

And congrats on the sp Dabola...... so much variation within sp Dabola!!!!

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg some updated pics. I think the Sp. Dabola still has a little ways to go, but I think the endli Dabola looks really nice. It has a nice base color.

Another poly. Can't wait to see it in the tank.
