I think they add to the prehistoric look in the tank. They also give some movement towards the middle and top of the tank.

Yeah sure I'll try and get one later today. I recently put some DW back in the tank so I have zip ties and rocks sinking it so it may not look at it's prettiest, but you should be able to get the idea of the look I'm going for. Even though half the time I don't even know what I'm going for haha.
