also the one in question is more active now then the other one....my ph is and has always been 7 to 7.2...never changes...could be diff from the original in fact i am almost sure it is not that i think about it the other ray did this behaivor in the begining...i did the 1/2 cup of water every 30min for about 3hrs before introduction to the tank, then had to catch some bichirs out that were test biting the rays (not doing any damage, but i took them out after 2 bites to prevent any from happening)
Next time, dont acclimate like that.

Oh well, don't worry about it I guess. Whats done has been done, the thing now is to solve your ray problem. Keep your lights off and your tank covered. Basically dont do anything you dont need to do. Do some more water changes, maybe add a bit of salt. Another thing to keep in mind, don't try calgaryflame's super salt bath method. It might've worked for him, but it sure as heck hasnt worked for me, using a method that has such a random sucess rate really just gambles your fish.

tank has been dark all day except when, i took the vid...some salt is already in;)...tank is covered as i have a jar growing out in there aswell....i saw that salt bath method and came to the same conclution as you with it being a untime tested gamble....also i picked up an extra jug of prime even though i have around 650gph on that tank, i will do some more wcs then my reg. 50% a week...thanx for the heads up and info...about how many wcs should i up it to and for how long?

hey first thing is first. treat them with prazi pro is a must. also from tfd i just got mine in last week treat with anchors away after the prazi has gone through the system as they will have fish lice. also try keeping the lights off so they can get adjusted and will be easier to feed. it will be hard but try leaving the tank alone. i just went through the same thing. and this was what was told to me and helped get me through. good luck and glad they both came in alive.

if you got yours from tfd, with 1 doa why didn't you get the garentee?...did you get any females or just males?...also yours may have been from a diff. batch as joe said they might get some more in on monday, cause they only had 5 left including mine, so i think they have been moving them fast...mine look mint and now the problem one has not done the disc thing for a while...not that i am questioning what you are saying but it is all possibilities...i haven't seen or herd of either of those meds you stated...i will wait and see what happens, as in if they get better or worse, (since they look great now), before i do anything extra aside from wcs and salt...one of those if it aint broke don't fix it type of a situation...the disc thing could be stated as broke but it seems to be going away so i don't want to risk anything...

i got 2 males 1 female the female being the dead one. also i did get refunded and when they come out of the sand and you can see them for a long while look very close at the disc you will see very small dull spots and watch the spots closely and you should see a little movement from them. those are the fish lice. i did get refunded so im not bashing tfd. i didnt notice the lice till i was looking closely at the dead one after i got the other two all set then i saw a little movement on the disc. so i started watching the other two closely after i knew what to look for and after lots of looking i could see a few. some ppl will actually pic them off the ray but after i treated with prazi im starting to treat with jungle ponds anchors away since i already put them in the main tank. but they are a wholesale business and some wholesalers dont treat for much. so this is just a forwarning. and whats working for me

and plus the disc looked fine they will lift up the front especially when they are looking for food. i didnt see anything bad in your vid breathing was a little heavy it seemed but not too bad

ya this was prolly the last time i order rays from them. i just had a good experience the first time with them with motoros. thats why i decided to try again. not as good experience this time though.
