New rays have arrived

without a trace, unlikely... i mean you know how small the stomach is on a little thing at that size, i mean only a few pellets and it will be ready to burst.

I dunno man, 4-5" rays can eat way more than a couple pellets.

It wasn't like they had to do it instantly. I wasn't watching them for the first 45 mins to and hour. I wanted to leave them alone. After then I went to take take a picture of the aro to post on here and he was gone. That's when I notice the one ray doing something...

nice looking retics! sorry to here about the aro. I had a similar situation with a black aro mysteriously end up missing.

What did you expect...they were in a new environment, obviously they wouldn't be doing anything until all "threats" were gone.

sorry i ment massivore. but to stay on topic, i highly doubt your rays ate the aro.

espeically if your danios are still there.

That's what I mentioned to my lfs and theys aid that Aro's are slow moving where the Danio's are extremely quick and it would be much harder for them to catch the Danio. However I'm starting to doubt the Ray's ate the Aro. I through a night crawler in the tank and 4 cubes of frozen blood worms. It didn't seem like anything was eaten. When I first through the blood worms in the Danio's went crazy for them, but other then that the Rays didn't seem to touch them.

I'm not too concerned yet considering it's only been 14 hours since they were put in the tank. I haven't paid too much attention to them as they are covered by a king size blanket to make sure they're in the dark. I have seen them a couple of times float and swim around but for for the most part they seem to be staying in one spot.

I took our King Size down comforter to cover the tank. When the fiance got home, she wasn't too thrilled to see a $500 blanket wrapped around a fish tank.

your better off letting a small amount of light in the tank so they can see. total darkness may not help them settle as quick.

give them time and make sure you remove the uneaten food and keep your water at its best.

I left the food in there for 4 hours or so and then netted out. I through some more frozen blood worms in, they don't seem to be paining any attention to them just yet. The other fish sure do love them though.
