personally I think snakes are cool, however I will never own one for the main reason being Im not feeding it mice or rats. I used to have mice when I was younger that I saved from being eatin at my LPS. I couldnt ever feed something as cute as them to a snake and watch it get killed

I dont agree with the ethic's of live feeding animals to snake and its illegal in the UK too, so i only use pre-killed frozen foods.

I am jealous, you are buying animals left and right! Good luck with him, very pretty snake.

Also, Texas FTW. ;) :headbang2

Ha ha thanks, ive got a Snow Kenyan Sand Boa comming in tommorrow which i shiuld be bring home at the end of the month/begining of next.

i tried feeding mine thought it was worth a try as i know that when they've been moved or had a car journey it can stir them up and make them inclined to feed but he wasnt really interested in it, i put that down to him being moved around a lot over the past few days and still has yet to shedd the skin on his head, so might try him tommorrow if hes finished shedding or on friday. Are they generally good feeders?

Nice looking snake. I am glad to see that blood pythons are gaining interest in the hobby now. You used to have a really hard time finding them at all (let alone captive bred and healthy). Keep us posted man!

rodents are constantly pooping on and biting my friends that keep them as pets. I think snakes are much better pets but I won't get into it. Feeding them is natural you just have to get over it.
