Hey guys, i was searching for a nice wet pet this week and i stumbled upon a 4.5in red texas who needed a new home. I visited a couple times and he interacted everytime, so i thought id share some pics of the guy in his new home. Hope you all enjoy

Early stages of trying to make a Red Texas.

I had one like that, he faded out and such but got killed.

Oh okay, thanks. I got him from my uncles friend who had a small batch but i already knew it would be a 50/50 chance of a good specimen. What color did yours fade to?

He is one mean a** fish, he bit a cuban cichlid of equal size in half(fish still alive with previous owner) and nearly ripped the dempseys lip off last night. The dempsey will be going soon

that is a very orange texas but now i wonder, where all da white pearls at lol. but yea any texas color other then green is awsome but would it be a red texas or a like O.J. texas or something. theres gotta be a special name for a red texas with no pearls. right but anyway nice fish

Thanks man! Ive seen a few blue and greens around here but all over 10 inches

Are you sure that is a red Texas? Looks more like a Midas. Texas always have some spots at a young age and this would even show if it was a texas hybrid.
I love the JD.
