Well i went and got my first kitten, hes a redtail catfish. Its day 2 of having him home and i dropped a catfish pellet infront of him and he is not interested at all. Is this normal catfish behaviour? how long should i wait until you think we have a problem?

I fed my little ones bloodworms, feeder shrimp and beefheart. Then went to cut up shrimp, and fish fillets, nightcrawlers, anything really. Ive never had a problem with my cats not eating.

put a bunch of tiny feeders in and just count them evry day

tubifex worms can also be fed
or keep a small bowl and drop the food in the bowl the cat will learn to come and eat out of it

I jump started mine on tiny scallops he seems to really enjoy them. They are pretty cheap frozen good luck with your cat.

well try those foods that the others said to try and well if he doesn't take anything yet take the uneaten food and wait a few day to a "single" week and try again...just wait...sooner or later that RTC of yours will have to give in and search for food since he'll have to be hungry by then...but this should only be used if you think its the only way to get them to comfortably eat something to fill them up. Don't use this method everytime whenever he doesn't eat okay? =] he may be small for this still but try a small cut up piece of raw market shrimp to see if he craveing sense kick in with all that fishy smell arouses him to eat =D hope this helps you out with your RTC =D

yeah if you can get the frozen squid from a pet store or something mine LOVE it, I would cut up a tiny piece for him. That always made mine go nuts

try brine shrimp.
mine didnt and doesnt like bloodworms. in fact mine doesnt eat anything but various types of shrimp. which is weird.
