I think people use them as bait fish too, but yup its in the frozen section its called Omstead Freshwater Smelt- or if your local fish market sells Tilapia you can cut it to bite size and freeze-- Blood worms are great when RTC's are young but it can get expensive.

You are going to really enjoy your RTC. I got mine as a 2" baby in may of 07' I fed him Market shrimp from day one. You can get a 2# bag of frozen shrimp at the grocery store for $7+/- and just keep getting bigger sizes as he grows. Mine was pretty much just a lump that hides till he got to 8" then he became really active and was soon hand feeding. I will caution you about water parameters also. Even a temp change when doing a water change pisses off mine. He throws a fit, thrashing the sand and then pouts for a while. He got to 18" in 8 months then has really slowed down growing which I've read is common. He has become my favorite fish out of 8 tanks and over a hundred fish. Oh yeah, plan on getting him into at least a 240 with in 8 months. Heres a pic from Nov 07' with my wife hand feeding SHAMU
