I actually had to shut my filter off at feeding so the worms sink and then when they start eating I turn it back on. But I have 2 filters in the tank so one is still running and I only shut the other off for less than 5 minutes. i wouldn't want to kill the bb.I just feed on one side of my tank.

Not trying to hijack but.. I turn off filters on some of my tanks (not ray tanks as their food sinks quick) by plugging the filters into those cheap $5 timers you usually use for lights etc. I set up the timers up with the green "on" tabs (throw away the red "off" tabs) and use the override wheel to switch off the filter then spin the time setting round until the green tab is just about to click. About 30 minutes later the timer automatically switches my filters back on, perfect - and impossible to go to work without remembering to turn the filter back on.

good idea I agree

I just used distilled water when I kept them. Like 50 cents a gallon also what I kept them in.

I got my rectic to start eating with live baby ghost shrimp. That's what the store I got him from was feeding. As soon as he ate those he began eating the live blackworms.

that looks like what im going to have to do. still wont eat krill or worms. im waiting for my blackworm order to come in. i will get some ghost shrimp and try that.

they did eat some ghost shrimp and look more comfortable. hope they will eat blackworms or krill. ghost shrimp can add up $ fast.

Feed the ghost shrimp first then right after feed them to the rays. This way the rays will receive the nutrients from the prepared foods just eaten by the ghost shrimp.
