you guys can make any fish look good with the silly lights you add to make them look like that

without the light most of the great looking aro pics we see from SG the fish are no better than anywere else in the world

i just dont see the point of trying to make the fish out to be somthing its not with all the crap lights the owner is just fooling them selfs

What's wrong with the funny light?? I like teh funny lights :D I have no arows but the funny lights really light up the tank

Isnt your fish from SGP as well ??

nice fish but i think you would be shocked what the fish looks like without the silly lights

my point being aros are nice anyway so why try to fool the rest of the world that you have the best aro on the planet if you are not happy with the fish sell it dont try to jazz it up with silly lights :D

Ah in my eyes. I just want my fish to have this radioactive glow like it was about to explode. LOL!

But if I ever sell fish. any fish. I take pics in different lighting

I think to put color to the test, it's to take the fish with FLASH. if the color stays solid with the flash then it must be quite impressive.

They are called NAN lights they are an underwater flourescnet light bulb that comes in 3 or 4ft lengths that mount in the front of the tank just below the water surface. They have a "pinkish" hue to them that enhances color, especially Red, orange and yellow.

I didn't realized that "any" food would definitely affect the Aro's developing color. But it does make a lot of sense. I do notice the thin film above the water after feeding my fish meal worms, and they do get thicker. The "chin" area was thick. I quit feeding mealworms because of that, but they lay eggs quicker! So it must be good for breeding fish. I guess from now on I will have to watch what my fish eat...not just for an aro, but other fish as well. Interesting topic that went south, then east, then north, then west.

Going back topic...

Dixon, how much did the aro cost you if you don't mind saying?
