Also when the cons pair up they will make life miserable for the jack and the pleco. Why not get some port cichlids or blue acara in there. They are a lot more mild than those crazy cons. Nice tank!

That is a really nice black gravel. Brand? Don't see any of the flaking or white showing through that usually happens on black gravels.
