New setup for my 2, 4" sun cats

The block and brick work looks surprisingly fitting and almost pleasing to an eye.

Thanks, the wife wanted it to look like a broken down building so i thought what says broken down building more than cinder blocks and bricks. Used to be more block work until the Oscar got big, had to give him some swimming room since he kept beating himself up on em'. I'm actually going to rescape and deep clean it in a few months. I want something more natural looking and I have a couple 4-5 foot pieces of cholla wood curing that I want to put use.

Hmmm... that's an interesting wacky taste your missus got :) Is she into the apocalyptic scenery? Very unexpected.

Still don't have a permanent lighting fixture but it's in the workings at the moment, and I ended up doing something for my kids with the 2 10gallon tanks. All 3 said they wanted a fish tank for Christmas so I did the diy dad thing and built 3 5gallon bridged betta tanks so I only needed one heater and only had to build one filter. Here's how that's coming so far. It's already running with fish that's why it's covered but I'll get some pictures inside when my kids aren't around

Also has anyone used the 15' led strips to grow any low light plants like hygrophila, java fern, and anubius frazeri? I've got those in the beta tanks and just wondering if it'll work decent or not

How did you work two 10 gal tanks into three 5 gal ones?? Am I missing something? :)

Lovely stuff, anyway... and such a cute present for the kids!

You may have better luck asking your lighting question in the planted tank forum or the DIY forum.

cut em' up as necessary and and a couple scrap pieces cut up also. Yup, may end up making them into little monster fish fanatics, lol. Wouldn't the wife love that.
