New Shark Pool

I was thinking of building a refugiium in thecenter of the pool for some chaeto and caluerpa and some live rock but other than that it's gonna be open swimming room
Getting my hands on a skimmer! Aqua c ev2000 . Gonna run a third line off my main pump to the skimmer. Does anybody think that will be a problem? The pump is 6000gph split three ways leaves 2000 gph to the skimmer minus head distance, so roughly. Then gravity will pull water from the skimmer to the pool. Hope it works, because my electric bill is ridiculous, dont need to add another 400watt pump to the monthly total.
I also found the cause for my overflowwig barrel! One of the pvc stilts i had holding up the platform that the media sits on had dislodged and must have been blocking the drain slightly. I found this out because i added 10 pounds of live rock rubble to the bottom of the barrels today. Should help digest some ammonia, im still convinced i could be getting more contact time with the media. The water is poring right through the fishinng line. Tomorrow ill play with the ball valves to see if i can tweak it, while i work around the pool and can watch the barrels.

Put a door up. You can see the before and after. Next comes the frame of the front of the pool. Already got the wood and wainscott. Should look nice in a few days.
On a serious note, would high ammonia/nitrite in the water sting the cuts on my hands?? Everytime i put my hands under water the small nicks and cuts on my hands feel like fire? Anyone ever have this happen? I hope there isnt a contaminant. Could it be the PVC glue i used on the filtration? Please get back to me so i know what to do. I may have to drain the whole pool if i dont figure it out......

It was stray voltage from the pump. It was only happening in a 3 foot radius from the pump intake. So i grounded it.
