New Shark Pool

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think my one inch sand bed is going anaerobic.
this sucks

i have used playsand as well and it sucks yeah took me a week or even 2 for it to get clear now i have used sand of the beach took a few days only to clear up
never heard of the whole bottom turning black knowing u don't have so many fish in there and a great filtrations i am clueless i would ask zoodiver as he is used to big tanks
hope 1 day i will be 2 working in a great marine aquarium with big aquariums and sharks

Cali Round ray added to the pool. already stirred a small spot of sand.
It shouldnt be a problem because the pool is relatively new, there have been no bubbles. Just a grayish black tint to the bottom layer of sand.
Dont want to use nassarius snails because if i step on a shell i might pierce the liner. Sand stirring sea stars will be eaten, not by the sharks i dont think but by the snappers and grunt.

be carefull not to stand on them stingrays thought u didn't wanted any rays for this reason changed ya mind
won't the sharks eat ya snapper and grunt when they get bigger?
or will u be moving them to ya bigger 1? did u started on that 1 yet?

I'm going with sea stars in my tank (it finally shipped - again!), for the aforementioned reasons, and to add some color. I was scuba diving in Monterey Bay over the weekend - sooooo many sea stars and jellyfish. Looked awesome.

what kinda colors starfishes did u order? or u already have?
couldn't u get a few when u was diving?

It's illegal to take them from where I was diving. I support my local stores, and in turn, they hook it up when I need large quantities of supplies.
