Gratz on ur pick up and ou got average deal on ur aro,
Feed them bloodworm freeze dried is better because it will float, I would put some kinda molly fish or guppies as tank mate on that size especially if it has problem with eating..small aro tends to like competion when feeding.
Ur 75G tank is more than enough for now if all goes well expect ur aro to grow 1 1/2-2 inch a month.

Sounds good. Will it eat feeder guppies? I already have a 5.5 gallon feeder tank setup for my RBP, so I was thinking about adding some of those to the stock of goldfish in that tank. The mollies would work good, if they became a problem for some reason I could move them into the little 2.5 gallon I've it chillin on a desk right next to it.

Once it packs size like 4-5 inch yes those mollies and guppies would be its breakfast :)
And I'm sure u know to feed the baby 3 to 4 times a day

yeah im aware of the feeding, which is no problem because im home all day... no job! its great being a fishkeeping kid, all the time in the world to care fir your fish;)

Yeah I need to get some floaters. I turned down my filter because he seemed to struggle with the current, is that the right move?

hey shea jared :) .. all the best with your aro.. if you've switched off the filter.. at least put in a sponge filter or if you could attach somethin like a spray bar to the filter outlet.. cheers

Agreed, best to fit a spray bar and turn it backwards so the stream bounces of the back wall.

Maybe I'm crazy. I think I'm one of the few people that would prefer a smaller fish over a bigger fish despite the price. I just would rather raise the fish all the way through its life.
You're not the only one ;)
