new speakers and amp

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its pretty cool when u get into it
fun though :D
good luck on making that system bump!!!!

Should be a nice clean starter system. It will be enough to make your ears tickle a bit in a truck. I would deffinatly go with a sealed box though. Even though you lose a bit of sound with something like that the quality of the sound you get is so worth it. Its in a truck so its going to be pretty loud no matter what you do. That amp will power them fine. I am assuming your not looking for like earth shattering bass? I think you are going to be really happy with what you have.

See if your buddy has a two channel or mono block amp that you could trade him for though. Four channel really aren't meant to be used for subs. They can and do fine but it would be better to have two or a mono block. Don't trade it for a power loss though.

Nice, Rockford's are pretty sweet. My Soundstream reference class 5.0 just died.:( It had a good run of 8 years and was a beaut of an amp. Good thing I bought a back up.

Good amp I have one in my truck to run my components I don't think you will be happy running those Rockfords though. Get a mono block or 2 channel something good like Alpine

the good thing, both sub and amp are at 4ohm stable so the amp will hang in there for a quite a while.

Of course the sub is 4 ohm stable, it determines the impedence lol.
