new spiny eel pickup!

Looks like a zigzag/half banded (macrognathus circumcinctus) to me. I got mine recently as well, he's my first! They definitely seem to have red tails in the right light. Can't wait to see more pics of yours <3
only seen him once since he was put in, bought a peacock eel today aswell but forgot to get pics soo i will be on the hunt... its almost a game already after two days of eel ownership its hard to walk past the tank without trying to find em!-)
Any chance of a FTS? Perhaps I'm lucky with mine, I can almost always find him. He is in a 10g right now though so that's probably a big part of it..not hard to search in there. Will be in a 129 pretty soon

What do you feed yours?not sure what too feed yet, i ordered some bloodworm off amazon, the peacock was sniffing around some sunken hikari carni sticks yesterday! They are in with my jewels atm... i like the 'i am a leaf' pose!-)

LOL! They're hilarious. Mine loves bloodworms..it looks at the earthworm pellets I put in like "Really, you want me to eat THIS?" Hope yours takes to the carni sticks C:
Nice leaf pose! Mine loooooves frozen bloodworms. I'm sure you'll get yours on them in no time! Since I put my tt eel in my 180g I always play "Find Ziggy". I usually do pretty well at locating him, too. Only a couple of times has he bested me, but only because he was mostly buried at the moment. Mine is turning out to be pretty social and is out majority of the time.
