new spiny eel pickup!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats the plan!-) guessing they bulk up alot, he is about 5 inch in the bag shot! the peacock is prob under 4 inch, hoping the asian bumble cat and juwels leave the little guy alone!

I just found mine in a funny place, too. Eels are crazy! I'm not sure what to call this position/pose. I'm definitely looking forward to getting mine larger soon, too. I always worry about it when I see this kind of stuff.

lol in both holes haha

is that fx5 on btw??? musta been some task getting in there... i wondered if i had any in my big tank if they would go in the fx6 intake? im missing the bottom of the stariner and a few months back found two clown loach inside the filter when i cleaned it... alive too!

Yep... FX5. I'm using a water polishing pad and that tends to slow down my outfall a good bit. For some strange reason this eel likes to be by the outfall or the intake. I think it actually prefers to be shaken a good bit. He doesn't seem to mind it one bit and as many times as I've seen him by that stuff I'm starting to wonder. Maybe it is a fish massage? And FYI, he still hasn't come out!

I'm glad those loaches were still alive! That's pretty amazing stuff when you hear about it.

lol, i never realised how charismatic these little fish could be, up there with gg, oscar and puffers for personality imo! cant find my little peacock now, start to panic... almost wanna go digging around in there, probably in the sand somewhere, i watched it dive through the sand like something out of that film tremors yesterday, assumed it would be a slowly get under the sand!!

You'll definitely be surprised by these guys. They're awesome fish! I scared my tt yesterday with a turkey baster loaded with thawed bloodworms and he dove headfirst under all the pea gravel. I definitely don't want my burying himself if I can help it. I want him as visible as possible. Give yours some time..

notice the bumblebee cat in the first pic!-)

Cheers nix!-)
