Do I understand this correct, the rays we call motoro may be many different species? And if we breed with motoro from different locations these could be different species and the pups are hybrids.

Yes indeed exactly wright. One species with many varriants.This is one of the reasons Brazil is keeping his borders closed for exp-ort.
