If I'm not mistaken, that's a retic. As for feeding, find out ASAP what the ray was eating before you got it and start form there.

i m8,thanks for the quick respone, the shop i got it from said it was eatin frozen blood worm, thats what ive been trying to feed him with, but with no success

Well, give him time to adjust. He looks kinda skinny to. Check your water parameters as well. Keep temp high, about 86 degrees.

ok i will give that a go,the temp is 27 celius just now, thanks again for ure quick response

Frozen bloodworms aren't much of a meal for a ray. Get some live blackworms ASAP, it's the thing that ray is most likely to eat. From there try earthworms etc.

You may also want to reduce the amount of sand in that tank and if it was me I'd cut out the lighting until the ray gets acclimated and is eating well.

Retic are hard to convert to different foods.

If the retic was eating blood worms, then stick with that in till the retic fattens up and eating normally.

water looks a little cloudy also

how long has this tank been set up? when did u put the sand in?

i would start doing 15% to 25% water changes every day until he starts eating

the water is prity clear, its just ma camera, tanks been set up for about 3-4 weeks, sand been in for about that to

obviously something wrong man, like vamptrev says start slowly doing water changes and offer foods while light off... good luck!!
