Would you honestly trust the LFS? Either way, wouldnt it be a smarter idea to do something with higher chance of success? Wouldn't it be smarter to be using blackworms, the almost sure win food, rather than frozen bloodworms which the LFS says the ray was "eating"?

We might not have black worms, but we have fresh earthworms right out of the backyard. Thats next on the list right after live blackworms.

yeah thats true but for some reason i've had no luck with cut up worms, second on my list is ghost shrimp, first is getting two retics, i think the competition factor is the best way to get them to eat, thats just my opionon tho

I got mine to start eating with live ghost shrimp. I've been feeding live black worms ever since.
