New Tank Advice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
compressus usually sell for more than rhoms just because of the rarity factor, but they are both great fish. i would imagine that what you have is more likely a rhom and not a compressus based upon your description, but there are other possibilities as well.

most all serras are wc.. and the boss of the store dint know where it was from because he probably never knew.. and i hate to be the bringer of bad news but dont expect your rhom to grow to mammoth sizes in your tank.. most rhoms larger then 10 inches were caught above that size..

I didnt mean he didnt know, he knows all our collectors personally but he didnt have the paperwork for these to hand. Somewhere he has it but it will take a while to find.

Why shouldnt it grow its a fish with water changes and good food filteration and tlc it should grow just like every other fish i have had, yes i know it will be slow but i have patience and i will have acheived something everytime he grows.

3 posts for one sentence?

Cant wait to get him have a clown pleco in there cycling and hes fine and water is great, but im going to leave it a day or so poss friday or saturday as im in all day and can keep an eye on him for any stress.

Was thinking of getting a load of japonica shrimp to clean up as i have a lot of store credit left. Have places for them to hide so some should survive, you think?

Getting it from the 5-6 it is now to 10 will be fine with me Im hoping for 12 but we'll see what do think about the shrimp? If its well fed hopefully he'll ignore them for a bit until he is calmer with me working in the tank

I DO NOT stick my hands inside my tank.. i like my fingers.. the rhom i have at 13 inches eats little shrimp so you may have a problem with that..
