New Tank & Baby Green Terror!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh, just that it seems to be a bit too much rock for that size tank, looking 'bottom heavy'. The highlight rocks would come out. Then you could lean the branch over to the big stone making an arch with the other end against the back glass. You have a nice pass through under the big rock...a branch arch would make another nice pass through. Fish just looove nooks and crannies.

Alright, I think I ended up agreeing….little too much going on. Finally had time to do some rearranging, plus the filters and tank needed a cleaning plus they got an extra large water change of about 80%. I like this better! May swap the tall plant for a short one though…

More room for them and more tunnels to swim through!

He’s really starting to color up more! I have noticed him bullying the catfish a little more as well. Is that a sign maybe he’s “growing up” and they’re probably ready for more space soon? Catfish is twice his size, but he’s clearly #1 and really goes after him sometimes!

I'd keep an eye on it, but those Synos are tough. Mine get chewed on by my other cichlids sometimes but they heal quick and are really resilient. Tank looks great! I'd leave in the tall plant maybe center it so everything doesn't look all bunched at the bottom. Plus you Gt will like to explore different levels.

I heard they grow slow, not sure...but you have time before up sizing. Hard to say aggression until the adult personality kicks in.

Thanks, and good to know! I'll get a picture at night once the water has cleared up again and there's not such a reflection on it! It's come a long way from where I started thanks to ya'll!

1,000 percent better!

Aquascaping is fun and sometimes you gotta experiment with it a little. Sometimes a plan doesn't work as well when you see it all put together. Substrate and background make a huge difference!
