Very nice tank, I like the aquascaping. But I agree, the aro will need a larger tank very soon (I'd say probably within the next 2-2.5 months).

You may have a bit longer than that dending on how quickly it grows, but they usually grow at around 2" per month until they reach the 2' mark, so if it's 12" now, then it should be about 17" in the next 2.5 months (which may already be too large for your tank, depending on its dimensions).hasu12;4678482; said:Legend dude thanks that was meltin my head tryin to do that

What type of fish would you be looking for? If you want something interesting and unaggressive, there's nothing better than a tire track eel or a fire eel, although both get to over 3' long, but they require about the same amount of space as a silver aro. If you would prefer something smaller, I'd suggest a zebra spiny eel (Macrognathus zebrinus), a chocolate cichlid, a couple severums, or a uaru.

I have a 9" bala shark with mine. I used to 4 of them, but the others were killed by my pacu. They make pretty good tankmates for silver aros once they settle down, but until then they are very skittish and often spazz out and spook the aro (especially when you turn the lights on). Mine didn't outgrow that stage until they were around 6-8 months old.hasu12;4678528; said:
