Never been a fan of smaller cichlids other than for their color. Where are you located. If close you can have my flowerhorn if interested

Thank you and yea he definitely will. Going to wait a while before moving him though. I bought the fish yesterday so don’t want to stress him out by moving him again too soon

Make sure to cycle the tank for around a month.
 
The bare minimum for a red devil should be 75g. Jexnell Jexnell should be knowledgeable about this and can advise you about the tank size and other stuff

Also on a side note, this is likely not a pure devil. Probably what they call a Midevil, essentially an amphilophus mutt of mostly Midas and devil, as they have been in captivity so long and are often hard to distinguish so are crossbred often. So it is going to have some Midas traits as well.
