New tank owner looking to upgrade

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Site doesn’t exist?

I bought it off a site called croink, not sure if it's legit or not but it was only 70 usd so I figured I'll bite

This is my prompt to get into the website for the specs of your tank you ordered

It looking not good for you. I remember this address in Yorkville IL it was for another good to be true acrylic purchase someone else was asking about but its really a tow company at that address.

Bummer ?
I have a lot of sympathy for you, I had something almost identical happen to me on the hunt for a 473 liter that ended up being wrong because of a mixup in tank dimensions.

Since I'm here, I'd like to point out that the footprint of the 852 liter wouldn't be quite big enough for an adult 50 cm ghost knife (so maybe it's a good thing that that site was a scam!).
Going by the 6x the length and 1.5x the width rules of thumb from Practical Fishkeeping and Seriously Fish, you'd need a tank of at least 300x75 cm for the knifefish long term (even though the weather loaches I proposed would be fine in the 852).
