New tank setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know we're not in the same country but I must ask, where did you find the 33 long? Was it a box store? Did you have to have the store bring it in? I like the dimensions of a 33 long but sadly can never find them.

I bought it at a box store, big als in Canada.

it’s not a terribly common tank size and I had to wait quite a while for it to be shipped in.

Such a shame they are not a more common size, they certainly would do well if they simply were more common I believe.

I agree, they make great nano tanks, pleco tanks, planted tanks, or smaller community tanks.

I just added some emperor tetras to it and they love the length for swimming

Niki_up Niki_up , I was thinking of you today when I saw that the weather is even colder in Edmonton than it currently is here at home...not much colder, but enough so that I was able to take a small perverse pleasure in that fact! :)
I thought I would share this pic with you as I’m sure you take pleasure in knowing I’m much colder than yourself ?

for New Years we took a walk in about -30 down a street called candy cane lane here, all the houses install lights for people to enjoy and you can walk or drive the street. It’s pretty popular here. We waited until everyone else enjoyed it and walked it when we knew not many people would be visiting. By the end of our walk my eyelashes had their own snowballs ?

I get dressed up like that when it gets to about -5, which is about as bad as it gets when it's cold over here. I feel like such a girl now, lol.

Well if -5 is the coldest you’ve experienced then it would make sense for you to bundle up!! The first -5 day is always cold here too but after you spend a few weeks in -30 you cherish the hot sunny day of -5 and only wear t shirts and a light sweater
