There are lots of unusual fish that can live in there for life. Im just not a big fan of buying something and returning it when it gets too big. How about some african butterfly fish? Maybe an african brown knife?

Yeah, I normally don't either....but I know the LFS, and lot of the people that work there. I know plenty of folks who would love to have it once it got too large for me and are well-equipped to care for it long term.

But I forgot all about the butterfly fish or the brown knife. Thanks for the suggestions.

i would destroy half the diveder and use the tank as a pauldarium (sp?)(half land half water)

Don't feel like messing with the specific water parameters of african cichlids. Those are pretty, though.

just put crushed coral or some tufa rock in and youll be fine. thats how mine are.

Well guys, I tested it and the tank leaks on both sides...so sadly, any fish are out. But I've ordered a pair of African house snakes, which I've actually been itching for anyway. But thanks again for all the suggestions. I'll keep everyone posted on the new snakes when they arrive!
